New Zealand Groundspread Fertilisers' Association Inc

New Zealand Groundspread Fertilisers Association Inc, (NZGFA), was formed in 1956 to protect the interests of the industry and to represent it to central and local government, government and industry organisations and private concerns.

It is there to promote the interests of both individuals and companies involved in the groundspread fertiliser industry.

  

The Aims and Objectives of the Association:

  • To promote, protect and advance the commercial interests of members and to assist members on all industry matters relating to the distribution of bulk lime and fertilisers.
  • To promote or to oppose legislative or other measures affecting the business of members.
  • To promote the industry interests of the distribution of bulk lime and fertilisers
  • To create a forum for the industry.

  

How the Association Operates

  • The Association has seven branches spread throughout the country with each branch electing a delegate to the National Council.
  • The Council meets quarterly to consider matters of national interest and items forwarded from the branches.
  • The Council has three sub-committees; Transport, Fertiliser and Lime, Public Relations.
  • The Association is lead by a president who is elected at the annual conference along with two vice presidents
  • Each branch elects its own chairman and committee.
  • A branch meets at times to suit the local industry and handles matters of local importance
